Specifically; the study examined the effects of birth rate, death rate per capita, and unemployment rate on economic growth of selected North America countries; studied the effects of death rate on economic growth of the selected North America countries. The study utilised secondary data obtained from World Bank. The study utilized panel data model. The research finding shows that birth rate and unemployment variables had negative and significant effect on GDP while death rate had a positive and significant impact on GDP in the selected North America countries. Meanwhile, per capita income had a negative and insignificant effect on GDP. The study recommended that policies to tackle unemployment in North American countries should be prioritised. |
